Photo-album #1  1901 - 1926 The Early Years

George Groves from his birth in Duke Street, St.Helens in 1901 through to his Bell Labs and early Vitaphone work at the Vitagraph Studios and Manhattan Opera House in New York.

Photo-album #2  1927 - 1941 The Warner Bros. Years in Hollywood

George's Vitaphone work in Hollywood beginning with the Jazz Singer. Contains many rare photographs of the seminal sound motion pictures.

Photo-album #3  1942 - 1976 War, Warner Bros & Oscar-Wins

Begins with his war work in the 1st Motion Picture Unit of the Army Air Force and then his Oscar-winning work at Warners. Ends with George Groves' death in 1976.
